Project Zomboid on its way to the PlayStation 4? FeaturedWritten by Mike Tomasson
Project Zomboid, even in its earliest stages of development, is one of the most interesting Zombie games out there. In Project Zomboid you can literally do anything to aid your survival -- and with the developers, The Indie Stone, working on a multi-player mode the game will most likely delivery the definitive zombie experience.
Before the PlayStation 4 launched we asked The Indie Stone whether or not they are interested in bringing the game over to the PlayStation 3 or the Vita to which they replied, "we'd love to -- but it is up to Sony". Later they expressed this task would be rather difficult considering that the game's development is very time consuming and that they have a rather small team for such an ambitious game.
A lot has changed since then. The Indie portal for the PlayStation 4 has proven to be very friendly and convenient for developers due to the very laid-back submission policy. The Indie Portal for the PlayStation 4 is somewhat similar to Steam; developers can patch and update their game as they seem fit without being charged fees like Microsoft's ID@XBOX service. This allows developers to release games early access alphas or betas.
Project Zomboid would be the killer app for PlayStation 4's second screen feature, or even as a standalone or cross-play game for the PlayStation 4 and Vita. We've asked The Indie Stone to comment, in the meantime you can help make this a reality by letting @PlayStation and @TheIndieStone know how much you want this to happen.
