Several years ago fans were petitioning for Nathan Fillion to be cast as the charming adventurer Nathan Drake -- this had a lot to do with the fact that Nathan Drake's character is highly influenced by Nathan Fillion's performance of Mal in Joss Whedon's the Firefly series -- but the fan reaction did more harm than good. Nathan even told his fans to cool it. This put tremendous stress on the producer, writer, and director which caused the project to be dropped, temporarily. I guess that's a good thing considering they were going to cast Mark Wahlberg as Nathan Drake.
The project has since been picked up by the producers of Iron Man and the Dark Knight series with the writing staff that brought us Sahara and National Treasure. There is still no word on casting (I guess it is a little too early for that), but we cannot help being excited for this project after our recent discovery... Nathan Drake exists, and he is going by the alias James Kingston.
James Kingston not only moves like Nathan Drake with his incredible parkour skills, but he also looks the part. If only Sony would track this kid down and give him the training he needs in acting, they may just have their perfect candidate for Nathan Drake. Heck, he already has some experience in the film industry; citing clients such as Thor: The Dark World and Kick Ass 2. He is even listed as an actor and stunt-man for Devil's Playground on IMDB.
What are you waiting for Sony? Make your move. We'd love to see James Kingston as Nathan Drake in the upcoming Uncharted movie. So, make it happen!
