Possible Next Assassin's Creed Setting Hinted in Black Flag

Written by

Many a gamer is currently sailing the virtual high seas, pillaging and plundering, in Assassin's Creed IV that released last week. Many claim that ACIV is the best in the series yet, and more are saying that it's the best pirate game available. The time period and setting for any Assassin's Creed game are equally important as the characters you control and the historical figures you interact with. We all love guessing what the next setting will be, but has it already been hinted at in Black Flag?

**MILD SPOILER ALERT**
Reddit user KingNick has posted an image from an in-game journal in Black Flag. The journal entry lists the settings already visited by the franchise, as well listing a few additional time periods and settings that could very well be a clue as to what is coming next.

So will we be wielding a Katana and jumping rooftops in 14th century Japan, ride horses in the American Midwest, or maybe rub shoulders with Napoleon himself? Only time will tell, but we are already dreaming about nailing dudes between the eyes with shurikens in the next Assassin's Creed.

Assassin's Creed IV has an astounding score of 89 on Metacritic and is reported to be the most ambitious game in the series. It is available now on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC and will be coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this month. If you are a fan of the series, you definitely ought to pick up a copy.
